Happy New Year everyone!! Gung Hay Fat Choy!!
I haven't been on here in forever, but I assume I will be on here a lot more in the next few months as we start this journey again!! Yes, we have started our second adoption through China special needs again!! We knew it was coming and we finally did it!!
We are so very excited!! I forgot how many emotions this process, this journey stirs up. The anxiousness, the worrying, the helplessness, the excitement...it all comes back in a flood when you start thinking, and pondering, and looking again for the next addition to your family...
We are using a new agency, Great Wall of China Adoption Agency. We have filed our pre-application, been approved, and already have started to look at children-NUTS!! We have about 5 months of paper-chasing to do-the helplessness part...it seems if we have done this before all they would need would be an update, but no, you have to do the WHOLE process again...we knew that but it is still DAUNTING!!
We have to do a new application, the I-800, which is a lot more detailed than the last application. But the difference this time is going directly into the special needs program, and being to already look at children. So, I imagine we will do an LOI (letter of intent), as we we go through our paper chasing as quick as we can go!!!
We want another daughter, between the ages of 1-2. Avery definitely needs a sister. She talks about a baby sister often and we have a name already, Mackenzie Mei. Avery calls her baby sister Mackenzie already too!! She is excited, not that I think she knows exactly what it means-LOL!! :)
So please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we go through this journey again, hopefully in the quickest way possible!!
I know a lot of friends through blogs have been advocating for children lately please keep us in your thoughts as you advocate for these many children.
Avery is doing awesome!! Growing, and talking, dancing, and has everyone wrapped around her finger, and really is just flourishing!! She is our precious gift, that little piece of sunshine in our lives!!
And as my Dad calls her, a "TICKLE"!!
Happy New Year!!
